RE
During the season of Lent, we focus on growth, change and transformation, just as Jesus did during those 40 days and nights in the wilderness – so how can we be more like him to help us grow and change this Lent?
Watch the video below- It shows Jesus in the desert resisting temptation, the characters in red are the temptations. Temptation is the desire or need to do something, probably what we really want to do which we know we shouldn’t. For example, if you have given up watching your favourite TV show during Lent but really want to watch it!
After thinking about what we have talked about today Fasting Prayer and Helping others- Can you write a Lenten Promise?
Please write your Lenten Promise on the sheet attached
Please listen to and join in with the song My Lighthouse
Please say this prayer…
Lord,
We thank You for all the gifts You have given us.
Please continue to guide us each and every day, remind us to wake up grateful and use Your Word to avoid the temptations we may face and instead pray to You.
To thank You
To love You
To hear from You Each and every day of our lives
Amen
See you all soon
Take care,
Mrs Murphy
