Phonics

We use the Read, Write, Inc. scheme of work. We spend at least 20 minutes teaching time every day practising our sounds and words. Please click on the link below and spend some time browsing the site for ideas and activities.

These are words that children in Year 1 should be able to independently read and write. Please spend some time practising these with your child.

Please choose 5 words a day to write in a sentence with your child.

 

In addition to this, we will send you links to video clips of phonics lessons. These links will only last 7 days but will be sent out regularly.
