Our Trip to the Post Office

We had the most wonderful time this morning walking to the post office. The children enjoyed buying a stamp and posting their letter to Father Christmas. Thank you to all the helpers for joining us for our special morning.

Stay and Read

We enjoyed welcoming our family members to a ‘stay and read’ session. We showcased our speaking, listening and reading talents ... Well done children we are super proud of your progress since starting school in September 🌟💛💪🏼🌟

We have purchased a listening system with our school fund donations. The children are enjoying using the area independently. 

To finish our topic of The Little Red Hen we baked some bread today, unlike all the animals in the story we all helped bake the bread 😊💪🏼🌟

The Annunciation... The children enjoyed re-enacting when Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary to tell her the good news.

A very busy Forest School session this afternoon making hedgehog homes and carrying on with our maths work of repeated patterns.

Remembrance Day... We learnt about why we wear poppies in November.

Diwali 

We have enjoyed celebrating Diwali. We welcomed Dev’s mummy into our classroom to talk to us about this wonderful Festival of Lights. She explained the celebrations associated with Diwali including food, presents and new beginnings .

We created beautiful Diva Lights 

We are super excited about bonfire night 💥🔥... Lots of wonderful sounds, vocabulary and mark-making ... 
The children have been inspired to create ‘rockets’ in the continuous provision areas. Super thinking 🤔💪🏼

All Saints’ Day ...We began our special day with whole school Mass. We then learnt more about some of the Saints playing corners. Later we celebrated with cake and a disco 😊🥳🧁🌟💛
