Year of Holiness

Diocesan Year of Holiness

"Do not be afraid of holiness. It will take away none of your energy, vitality, or joy."

Pope Francis, Gaudete et Exsultate

In a Pastoral Letter on the First Sunday of Advent 2018, Bishop Mark invited us to focus anew on the universal call to holiness. He reminded us that “the central message of the Second Vatican Council was that every one of us, in every state of life, is called to the fullness of the Christian life and the perfection of love: that is, called to become nothing less than a saint.”

In school, we will reflect on how we can strive for holiness to become the saints we have been called by God to be.

We will explore the lives of the Saints   whose lives are examples of  how “...HOLINESS IS NOTHING OTHER THAN CHARITY LIVED TO THE FULL.”

We thought about what holiness means to us and explored the examples of holiness in the lives of our saints.
