Today we have been planting sunflower seeds as they are very good at absorbing toxins from the soil without it harming the plant itself. Fingers crossed the bloom into beautiful 🌻
As part of our Science and Geography week, we have been investigating soil samples from Carrington Moss and comparing them with healthy soil. We used microscopes to find worm eggs in the healthy soil.

Unexpected Explosions!
We decided to film the opening of our first bottle to share with you our excitement!
Unexpected Explosions! During our science lesson this week, we were weighing the gas 'CO2' and predicting which fizzy drink held the most gas inside. It was a very messy and exciting experiment!!
Cat Clay! Following our previous lesson of drawing Egyptian cats, we decided to create them using clay!
Egyptian Cat Art! We have been learning about why cats were so important to Ancient Egyptians, so we used charcoal to draw our own cat statues.
Gymnastics! We have been practicing our gymnastics positions and combined them with an element of dance to create our own routines.
Fitness Friday! We enjoyed some Fitness Friday Fun, despite the miserable weather.
Perimeter! Today we put our measuring skills to the test by measuring objects in the classroom and the infant playground in 'm' and 'cm'
Year 4's Dewa Roman Experience Trip. We had an amazing time learning about how the Romans lived.
