Welcome to Year 6

Year 6 are our school leaders. They are wonderful role models for the younger children in our school. They all have key responsibilities with in the school and are dedicated to their roles.

Fun in the sun!

With the help of Friends of Carrington Moss, we measured air pollution outside our school. This led to discussion of the causes of pollution and what we could do to address it. We had many questions linking to our findings.

Where in the World? Our world map allows us to pinpoint places discussed in a number of subjects. It allows us to explore countries discussed in our WW1 topic.

Y6, waiting in anticipation to watch a performance of ‘Private Peaceful’. We are reading Private Peaceful as our class novel.

In History we are studying WWI . We began by exploring some of the long term and short term causes leading to war. We represented countries and formed alliances! We found out about the arms race and pursuit of power. We had a very dramatic enactment of the assignation of Archduke Ferdinand!
