Summer Term

We are so proud of all of our amazing Year 6 children who have achieved their pin level Faith in Action Award for living out their Faith. Such dedication and service to others!
Having learnt about Carl Linnaeus' work on classification, we had a go at classifying a selection of Liquorice Allsorts. Who knew there would be so many different ways to do this!
Taking our Reception Buddies on a tour of our local area. So many opportunities to teach them everything we knew!
We loved delivering a Maths lessons to Year 2 about Spirals and the mathematician Fibonacci. We spent time of the field spotting patterns in nature.

Year 6 visited Stockport Air Raid Shelters dressed as evacuees from
World War 2.  We had a brilliant time!
In Geography we learnt about the Christ the Redeemer. It is a colossal statue of Jesus Christ located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and is recognised as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. We recreated it from clay.
A huge thank you to Sale Fire Service for coming to tell us how, as we become more independent, we can keep safe. We learnt so much!
Year 6 visited BTHCC to meet the author Matt Goodfellow and talk about his new book `The first Year`.
