We had a great time learning about the Romans in Britain during our trip to Chester.
The children were very interested in looking and learning about aspects of Jewish life.
After looking at the work of Barbara Hepworth, we used a variety of tools to carve a piece of soap into sculpture.
Singing with Trafford Music Service
We loved welcoming Mrs Henderson into Year 4 from Trafford Music Service to help prepare us for our singing performance at the Waterside Theatre. We particularly enjoyed the warm up exercises and learning how to sign to the words of the songs.
Our visit to a local Nursing Home
To find out more about VE Day we went to visit some residents in a local Nursing Home. They spoke to us about their memories and what times were like. They also had some artefacts that we could explore. We had such an enjoyable visit and very much look forward to visiting again soon.
We love keeping our minds and body fit and active runnng the daily mile.
We looked at the work of Magdalene Odundo and used chalk to draw one of her famous pots. The children played around with the shapes and used 2 colours to create new lines on top of shapes they had drawn
