Spring Term
For British Science Week, Year 3 investigated magnetic coins. They discovered that coins made before 1992 were not magnetic and coins made after are! They used their knowledge of metals and magnets to come up with suggestions as to why and then researched on the Royal Mint website.










Today we worked in groups to match the meanings with the parts of the Our Father prayer... Building the Kingdom






Today we wrote and performed our fabulous Kenning poems... lots of fun ๐คฉ
Working like a historian ...



Castles... In Design Technology this half term we are making a working together to make a wooden castle and making our own with card. We are very excited ๐






Year 3 & Year 6 led whole school Mass this morning on the theme of Love โค๏ธ #LoveOneAnother

What substance can clean coins the best? Year 3's investigation in science this week. We used tooth paste, fairy liquid, vinegar, lemon juice and Coca-Cola. We tested the pH levels of the liquids to see if acidic or alkaline liquids cleaned the coins the best. Check out the pictures for the results!
















We have been learning to touch type this week. We tried to keep our fingers on the 'f' and 'j' keys to help us type more quickly.

Today we were very excited to start our Stone Age unit...we had to sort the artefacts / pictures on a timeline and explain why we had put them in that order.
