Efficient Addition
We have now challenged ourselves to find the most efficient way to subtract! Should we use column subtraction or a mental strategy? A lot of maths talk and being able to explain their reasoning.

We have been honing our column subtraction knowledge and using dienes to support our calculations.
Year 3
Securing Number Bonds to 100
In our maths work we have been using our knowledge of number bonds to find multiples of 10 that total 100. We used the abacus and number line to help, knowing that each bead represents 10. Well done Year 3!
Year 2
Two Digit Numbers
In Maths, Year 2 have been exploring two-digit numbers up to 100. They have been investigating the place value of each digit by creating their own numbers and using hands-on activities to show the value of the tens and ones. Learning was active, fun, and full of discovery!
Place Value
As part of our place value unit, Year 2 delved into two-digit numbers. The children explored the value of each digit in a hands-on way, using items from our playground to represent tens and ones, making learning both active and fun.

One Less
The children have been looking at 1 less then a number, using conkers to support their learning.
