PE
Y5 Dance
We learnt about Dance by Chance. We explored movements to counts of eight and experimented with different ways of travelling and improving our choreography. We also shared feedback with one another to help develop our ideas and peformances.
Reception Gymnastics
Reception are working hard in their gymnastics sessions. They are developing their travelling, balancing and movement skills while practising body shapes such as straight, tuck, pike, and star. Using a range of equipment, the children are applying the moves they are learning with increasing confidence and control.
These activities help children to improve their gross motor skills, coordination, balance and spatial awareness. Also, encouraging perseverance, focus, and confidence in movement.
Hockey
For PE this week, Y3 have been learning some excellent hockey skills, ensuring that we are safe and controlled with our hockey stick and carefully guiding the ball.
Fitness
Year 5 have been looking at improving their stamina during our fitness sessions.
Fundamentals
In PE, Year 2 have been practising their basic skills by learning how to control their jumping.
Parachute games and rhymes
Using the parachute helps us learn to work together, listen carefully, and follow instructions. It builds our physical skills like coordination and strength, while also encouraging teamwork, turn-taking, and lots of laughter!
Daily Mile
We work hard on improving our fitness. Y5 have tried hard to find a pace that they can run comfortably at. We have noticed that we are starting to run for a longer period of time without stopping.
Fitness
Y5 have been enjoying the fitness unit of work. They have noticed that they have been able to keep running longer and faster in the Daily Mile.
