Become an Anglo-Saxon and design the perfect village!

I challenge you, Year 5, to design your own Anglo-Saxon Village. When groups of Anglo-Saxon families arrived in boats the plan would be to find a suitable site/ location on/in which to create a village. Research the basic needs of a group of people (you should imagine they have just arrived in a boat & want to settle as quickly as possible). Ideas might be quite specific, e.g. a warrior in the group might think about keeping safe, a woodcutter wants a good supply of trees, everyone wants something to eat & drink! On a large piece of paper or cardboard, design your village! Alternatively perhaps you'd like to create powerpoint detailing your ideas. Below are lots of clips and suggestions and links to websites to help you with your village design. Remember Anglo-Saxons had very different concerns to us and had no need of WiFi.  Good luck and be ready to share your work on your return.
